Meet the Founder
Dr Pantea Pooladvand
Mathematical modeller in novel cancer therapies and pathogen emergence
“When I was at school, no one told me that I could work on such interesting and important problems. This is why I created this studio. I want students to understand the importance of mathematics in solving real world problems. I want students to feel inspired to take on challenging problems and excel in mathematics, not just for the marks, but because it’s exciting to do so. My team is carefully hand-picked to achieve this goal.”
With over 15 years experience tutoring high school students, Pantea is passionate about involving the next generation in science and mathematics.
Pantea was awarded her PhD in applied mathematics from The University of Sydney and is an active member of the Australian Mathematical Society (AustMS) and the Australia and New Zealand Industrial and Applied Mathematics group (ANZIAM).
She has worked as a lecturer and research fellow at The University of Sydney, and UNSW. Her research addresses critical challenges in human disease by developing mathematical models for novel cancer therapies and exploring the connection between human cultural evolution and pathogen emergence.
In 2018 Pantea was selected as 1 of 100 mathematicians around the world to attend the Heidelberg Laureate Forum in Germany. She has been an invited speaker at international conferences and universities, including the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford.
Through outreach programs, Pantea aims to inspire the next generation of students to embrace challenging problems and contribute to solving important global issues.

We provide private and group tutoring sessions in-studio and online for primary and high school students studying Mathematics.
We cover all streams of HSC mathematics: Standard, Advanced, Extension 1, and Extension 2. We also offer comprehensive tutoring for the International Baccalaureate (IB), including both AA and AI across all levels.
One-on-one sessions
Students are matched with one of our exceptional tutors for personalised weekly lessons. These sessions are also offered online through our cutting-edge platform, utilising the latest software for a seamless and effective online learning experience.
Preliminary and HSC tutorials
Join our engaging group intensive sessions designed specifically for Preliminary and HSC exam preparation! In these classes, our expert tutors guide small groups of students through the curriculum, focusing on essential content and effective strategies to excel in their exams. Whether in-studio or virtually, our sessions create an interactive and collaborative environment that empowers students to succeed.
We’ve expanded our services and now offer limited one-on-one tuition for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Our team, immersed in the sciences, is here to support your learning.
